Requirements for Students in the JD Edwards Honors Program

Laptops are an important part of the JD Edwards Honors Program. All JDEHP students are required to bring one.

Recommended minimum features on your laptop include:

• 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo processor
• ATi or nVidia graphics card that has its own graphics memory (128 MB Minimum “on board” memory)
• 2 GB memory (RAM)
• 60 GB hard drive storage
• DVD-ROM/CD-RW or DVD-RW
• Wireless card (802.11g) and wired ethernet port (10/100)

Software

Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 (available for free through JDEHP MSDNAA), Vista Business or Vista Ultimate. The JDEHP will make other requisite software available, either through the University or through its Microsoft agreement. For details see http://www.msdnaa.com

Please note that you may be able to upgrade from the home edition of Vista to Vista Business through UNL's Microsoft agreement. Currently students may buy Microsoft Office for a significantly discounted price through the UNL Computer Shop.
