Textiles, Clothing and Design

For Textiles, Clothing and Design students, the principal software they will use in upper level Apparel and Merchandising courses is proprietary and not available to them on their personal computers. In the first year Visual Literacy course, they will use Adobe Photoshop a fair amount, and Adobe Illustrator some (this use is expected to increase in the coming years). In their 2nd and 3rd years they will use Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop fairly extensively in several of our courses.

Our TCD/Journalism majors likewise have access to computer labs both here in HE building and in Andersen Hall. Therefore, for the time being there is no urgent reason for our students to have laptops except at their own discretion, since our building has two fully equipped computer labs at their disposal.
